Our student-athletes, coaches and facilities have helped Huskies rank among the best NCAA programs in the region. Which of our many opportunities will get you moving and cheering?
St. Cloud State Athletics manages more than 350 student-athletes across 15 Division-II teams and two Division-I athletic teams competing in four different conferences. In 2022-23, St. Cloud State earned a 44th-place finish in the Learfield Director’s Cup, its highest finish since 2011-12. The Huskies had eight teams advance to NCAA competition, highlighted by a third-place team finish and an individual national championship from Nick Novak in wrestling. Additionally, the men’s hockey team and volleyball team each advanced to regional championship games in their respective NCAA Tournaments. At the conference level, volleyball, men’s hockey and wrestling all captured conference or regional titles.
Blizzard T. Husky (Blizzard, for short) is our school mascot. Blizzard loves walks and meeting new people so you will likely see this energetic husky at sporting, campus and community events.
